Betaine

Betaine

►Introduction Betaine, also known as trimethylglycine, is named after it was first discovered in sugar beet, and its molecular formula is C 5 H 11 NO 2 . Betaine is a high-quality feed additive, and is widely used in food, fruit juice, medicine, printing and dyeing, chemical industry, dental materials, and fermentation industries.

►Betaine function

1. Provide methyl group, which can replace part of the function of methionine

2. Regulate osmotic pressure in the body, relieve stress effect

3. Promote fat metabolism and increase lean meat rate

4. Promote protein synthesis

5. Improve anticoccidial drugs

6. Food-attracting function of aquatic animals
